The Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace is one of our favourite venue for wedding decoration assignments.
Often, when we speak with our clients regarding details of their wedding deco, we will offer consultative advice on the type of wedding decoration they should be looking at, according to the venue they have chosen, and the feel of the wedding they desire. And one of the most important questions they have to answer is – what is the wedding decoration theme
The chosen theme will determine the dominant colour of the whole deco package, as well as the type of flowers the couple should go for. This theme should be consistent through every aspect of the wedding deco, right down to the type of hand bouquet the bride carries.
For a wedding it’s important to settle on a main dominant colour, and one way of doing the deco would be to choose flowers with contrasting, yet complementary colour combinations, creating a vivid and energising effect. Examples of such combinations are red and green, orange and blue, or yellow and purple.
The other way would be to complement the main colour with flowers with analogous combinations, that is, colour of similar shades, giving a calming likeable impression. There are really no fixed rules, but the colour theme and feel of the deco should permeate every aspect of the deco – from the signing table, to the couple chair deco, to pew flowers, and even to corsages or hand bouquets.
If budget allows, adding a fresh floral arch for your wedding will convey an air of romantic elegance to the venue, creating an unforgettable wedding. Remember to insist on fresh flowers for the arch, as opposed to faux floral arches, to create that authentic feel.

5 stars This is a overdue review. We had our wedding in end oct 2019 in Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace. Initially, My husband and I were thinking to keep our church deco simple. 5 stones Florist was recommended to us and we are very happy with their service. We got a package to decorate half of the church aisles with flowers, main church door handles, wedding cert stand and bridal bench. They were very accommodating as we shared our flowers package with another couple who were getting married in the afternoon in the same church. (Saved a bit of money and reduced wastage there :p) We topped up a bit to ask them to come by and check on the flowers between wedding masses and were glad that everything proceeded smoothly. The flowers were beautiful, and the church looked very cozy and romantic. They put up extra sashes (without flowers) for the other half of the church pews which we did not pay for. That was a very nice touch. It was a joy having them as our florists, as they are trustworthy and are flexible. We did not even have to meet them prior to our wedding, as they are familiar with the venue and already know what to do.
Everything was liaised via emails, phone calls and messages. The rest was based on trust. 🙂 Will highly recommend them to wedding couples looking for a good, affordable and responsive florist, who have a heart for couples.

5 stars Many thanks to Winnie and her team who provided us with a comprehensive customised church wedding decor package (all fresh flowers!) with such a competitive price! The decor was beautiful and the bridal and bridesmaid bouquets were stunning. Winnie was very accommodating to our last minute request and even gave a free upgrade to full floral arch. I believe you will not find such a pleasant decor florist who provides such good comprehensive packages with such a steal of a price! Super recommended
